Soccer Six is a charity football event raising money for Music For All. A special rock and metal version of the tournament will be taking place on Friday May 11 at Leyton Orient FC. The match will feature football contributions from the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, You Me At Six, Architects, Lower Than Atlantis, Don Broco, Exit Ten, My Passion, Heights, Six Hour Sundown, Malefice, Futures and more - as well as our very own Kerrang! There's little under two weeks to go until the lineup for the Vans Warped Tour is unveiled - and you can be at the exclusive launch party yourself! We've teamed with Warped to offer 10 Kerrang! readers a pair of tickets to the London bash, which takes place on Tuesday May 8 at a London venue. There you'll get a chance to watch the Warped Tour documentary, No Room For Rockstars, before being among the first people in the country to hear the Warped lineup! Hevy Festival's line-up continues to grow, with another epic announcement of 15 bands. Topping the new additions is UK exclusive performances from Andrew W.K., Glassjaw and Meshuggah, while Hevy will also be the only place to catch Madball and Norma Jean this summer. Hawk Eyes, Bleed From Within, Lemuria, The James Cleaver Quintet, War From A Harlots Mouth, Feed The Rhino, Mallory Knox, Campus, Mixtapes and The Bots complete the announcement. Slam Dunk add Gallows, Capdown, Random Hand and more to 2012 bill

Slam Dunk have announced a whole heap of new bands for their 2012 festival line-up. Gallows, Capdown, Random Hand, Sharks, Hildamay, Straight Lines, Misser, Acoda, Our Time Down Here and Neil Starr are the latest artists to have joined the bill, which is taking place in May in Leeds and Hatfield. Mastodon and The Blackout for Reading and Leeds!

Atlanta metallers Mastodon head up the latest raft of acts announced for this summer's Reading and Leeds festivals. The Blackout, Twin Atlantic and Pure Love - ex-Gallows man Frank Carter's new band - join them on the bill, among loads more. The events take place concurrently across the Bank Holiday weekend, August 24-26, and are due to be headlined by The Cure, Foo Fighters and Kasabian. Faith No More add second London date

Faith No More have confirmed a second London performance for this coming July. The show, at O2 Academy Brixton, has been announced for July 10. The band play to a sold-out Hammersmith Apollo two nights prior, following the cancellation of their headline slot at Sonisphere. Tickets for the O2 Academy Brixton gig are on sale now.

The Mars Volta added to Hard Rock Calling bill

The Mars Volta have been confirmed to appear on the bill at this year's Hard Rock Calling festival. The three-day event takes takes place at London's Hyde Park on July 13-15. The Mars Volta will headline the second stage on the opening Friday night, which is crowned by the return of Soundgarden. Skunk Anansie have announced that they are to release their fifth studio album later this year. The as-yet-untitled album - which was co-produced with Chris Sheldon (Biffy Clyro) - will be released in September. Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes is to take part in a charity swimathon. Next Friday will see Oli take to water with all the ease and grace of a duck to complete the fundraising event, which will task him with swimming a hefty 5km. Oli's taking part in the swimathon in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care, and is extending a very polite request to Kerrang! readers to sponsor him whatever they can afford through this page. As the man himself says: "I'll probally die, so if that isn't reason enough, do it for the awesome charity that the proceeds are going to the Marie Curie cancer fund."

Architects part ways with guitarist

Architects guitarist Tim Hillier-Brook has left the band. "Tim has decided that its time for him to step away from Architects and pursue other projects," say the band in a post on Facebook. "We all appreciate the work and commitment he has shown to the band over the past few years and wish him all the best in his future endeavours. His final show will be Groezrock and no future shows will be affected by his departure. Our good friend Josh Middleton will be filling Tim's vacancy on a temporary basis." The band will release their fifth studio album, Daybreaker on May 28 through Century Media. Check out this week's Kerrang! for a review of their recent show in Liverpool.

Linkin Park announce new album details

Linkin Park have revealed that they will release their follow-up to A Thousand Suns in the summer. Living Things - which was co-produced by Rick Rubin (Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Mike Shinoda - will be available from June 25. The band's first single from the album, Burn It Down is now available as a digital download.

Charlie Simpson to play at London Vans store opening April 14

Charlie Simpson has announced that he will be playing the official opening night of a new Vans store in Camden in London on Saturday April 14. The new Vans store is located at 191-209 Camden High Street oppostite Camden Town tube station, and features the full range of Vans footwear, along with apparel and accessories for men, women and youth.
