Kerrang! Comp Winners soundtrack TNA Impact Wrestling show

Kerrang! ran a competition in late 2011 to find a band to soundtrack TNA Impact Wrestling shows on Challenge TV. Hundreds entered, and Roses In Rome were selected as our winners. The band's winning track Tear Yourself Apart has been featured on TNA programming globally in over 100 countries and opened the recent UK arena events. Two new episodes of the show were recorded recently at Wembley Arena - the first time the top-rated show has ever been taped outside of the United States! The new episodes of the show that will be airing this weekend, Sunday February 5, and next weekend, Sunday February 12, on Challenge TV in the UK. Framing Hanley begin work on new album

Tennessee quintet Framing Hanley have offered fans a glimpse behind the scenes of their recent recording sessions. The band - frontman Nixon, guitarists Ryan Belcher and Brandon Wooteen, bassist Luke McDuffee and drummer Chris Vest - are currently demoing material for their follow-up to 2010's A Promise To Burn. Converge to play Hevy Festival!

Converge and Will Haven have been confirmed to play Hevy Festival 2012. Rhode Island punks Verse are also set to reform for the Port Lympne party. Cancer Bats, Rolo Tomassi and more for Hit The Deck

Cancer Bats head up the second raft of acts announced for this year's Hit The Deck festival. The latest announcement for the six-stage indoor festival also brings Rolo Tomassi, Bury Tomorrow, Spy Catcher and I Am The Avalanche, among many others. Cancer Bats are also set to showcase their Bat Sabbath alter ego with a dedicated set of Black Sabbath covers. Kerrang! regret to announce that Sum 41 have been forced to pull out of the upcoming Kerrang! Tour Sponsored By Relentless Energy Drink. The rest of the line-up remains unaffected. Frontman Deryck Whibley has been suffering from a back injury and will not be well enough to perform on the 11-date UK and Ireland tour, which is set to kick off on February 4 at Dublin Academy. "I feel really terrible about letting down the fans," says Deryck. "I injured my back and the doctors are saying that I could be in a wheelchair. So, as much as I wanted to be able to do it, I've got to look at reality, and for the first time I've got to listen to somebody else and not just myself. We're all really upset about this; we've had such a great relationship with our UK fans. We were really looking forward to this tour." Iron Maiden to release new live album and concert film

Iron Maiden have revealed details of a brand new live collection entitled En Vivo!, which will be available on Blu-ray, DVD and and a double CD on March 26. En Vivo! was filmed in front of over 50,000 fans at the Estadio Nacional, Santiago during the Round The World In 66 Days leg of The Final Frontier World Tour on April 10, 2011. "For The Final Frontier Tour, it was really important to me that we filmed in South America as we're always so overwhelmed by the fans' reaction when we go to that part of the world; I wanted to reflect that in the filming," says bassist Steve Harris. "After much consideration, we chose the Santiago show as we felt it was one of our best performances of the entire Tour and to play at the prestigious Estadio Nacional was a landmark moment for us." Soundgarden, Biffy Clyro, You Me At Six, and Tenacious D are just some of the latest bands to be confirmed for the 10th anniversary of the Kerrang!-sponsored Download festival, which is set to take place at Donington Park between June 8-10. "We are beyond psyched to play Download 2012," says Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron. "It will be a huge year for the band and what better way to celebrate than bring it all to our UK family at Download? See you there!" The Yo-Yo's reform for two London shows

The Yo-Yo's have announced details of two reunion shows at the Camden Barfly's Jubilee club night in London on February 17. The band - who feature Rich Jones (Ginger Wildheart band, Amen, The Black Halos), Tom Spencer (ex-The Loyalties) - have reformed to celebrate bassist/vocalist Danny McCormack's 40th birthday. The band quit shortly after releasing their 2005 album, Given Up Giving Up. "It's been seven years since we were onstage after I battled some demons on the last tour," McCormack tells Kerrang!. "To celebrate my 40th, we're hosting two very special shows, and, in a way, I'm as surprised as anyone that I've made to 40; there've been some touch and go moments over the years. Luckily, I've made it through that and I'm really happy to celebrate the big 4-0 with the boys, friends and fans!" Although these two shows are the only dates the band have planned, McCormack is not discounting any future activity. "We're not planning on touring or recording at the moment, as I'm not sure anyones sanity could take a full blown reunion, so this is just a one-off show," reckons the bassist. Thrice announce farewell show at London's HMV Forum

Thrice have announced that they will be playing a special one-off farewell show at London's HMV Forum on April 30. Killswitch Engage begin search for new vocalist

Following the news that Killswitch Engage have parted company with their vocalist Howard Jones, the Massachusetts metallers have started the search for a new singer. Reunion 2: Refused to play two festivals

Refused have announced that they are to reform for several shows later this year. The legendary post-hardcore Swedes, who broke up shortly after releasing their groundbreaking album The Shape Of Punk To Come in 1998, will play at the Coachella Music & Arts Festival in Indio, California in April and the Way Out West Festival in Gothenburg, Sweden in August. "We never did The Shape Of Punk To Come justice back when it came out, [we were] too tangled up in petty internal bickering to really focus on the job," reads a statement posted on the band's official website. "And suddenly there's this possibility to do it like it was intended. We wanna do it over, do it right. For the people who've kept the music alive through the years, but also for our own sakes. Tony Iommi diagnosed with cancer

We are sad to report that Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has been diagnosed with the early stages of lymphoma. It is cancer of the lymphatic system, a network of vessels that forms part of the body's immune system. "His bandmates would like everyone to send positive vibes to the guitarist at this time," reads a statement on the band's official Facebook page. "Iommi is currently working with his doctors to establish the best treatment plan; [he] remains upbeat and determined to make a full and successful recovery." Black Sabbath - whose line-up is completed by vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward - are currently working on their first album together in 33 years in a Los Angeles studio with producer Rick Rubin (Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers).
